Cinco De Mayo
Cinco De Mayo is a Mexican holiday. It is celebrated for the time Mexico became a free country, their own country. Mexico used to be controlled by the French. Mexico is now not under the French.
4th of July
The 4th of July is celebrated for when America became a free and independent country. America used to be controlled by England. The Revolutionary War took place with George Washington the leader of the our army and the British fought for America to be it's own country. We won the war and became the first independent country. We now know America as a free and independent country.
